Since 2002 David Nevogt, also known as the golf swing guru, has been teaching golf swing secrets. To be more specific, he has been teaching an alternative to the conventional swing you probably were taught.

What he calls the simple swing is easy to learn and use. The simple swing involves using your spine as an axis for your swing. He also talks about your golf swing plane.
That technical talk may sound difficult to implement, but it is not. I bet you will find these golf swing mechanics to be easier than what you are doing now.
The Simple Golf Swing book provides a detailed step-by-step guide. It includes photos, in case David Nevogt’s words are not clear enough for you.
His basic theme it to teach you a golf swing that is simple to use so you can hit the ball with consistency. With golf swing consistency comes steadier play, straighter drives (fewer hooks and slices) and longer distance.
While these certainly are nice goals, the key question about this book is “Does it work?” I say “Yes!”
While reading the book I found the instructions to be clear and easy to understand. As advised, I practiced the new motion before trying it on my golf course. I suspect that makes a difference.
As promised, the new swing has improved my game and reduced my scores. I bought it primarily hoping to improve my tee shots. As it turns out, I am better with my woods and my irons.
Granted, I am a real duffer and had plenty of room for improvement. It was about time I learned the correct hand action for my golf swing grip.
I think your key to success with this book is how closely you actually follow the instructions. If you don’t practice what it preaches, you have done nothing more than satisfy your curiosity.
